Love…Priorities

“The heart is the ruler of the body and the master of one’s spirit and intelligence. It issues orders, but it takes orders from nothing: it restrains itself, it employs itself; it lets itself go; it takes itself in hand; it makes itself proceed; it makes itself stop.”

Priorities and opinions are so susceptible that possessing empathy and open-mindedness makes life less confusing. But each day brings challenging, new experiences, making me question everything I know especially when love is involved. Which brings me to the question; does love change a person?

Love comes in many ways (be it family, friendship or romance) and it's quite interesting to see how your priorities fluctuate when new love comes into your life. It's funny how life has made these unexpected twists and turns, whether it’s the arrival of a new baby that changes your perspective on life OR a new love that comes along and changes every little thing that you do, that cause you to reflect on the value of everyday living. Love of a person tends to cause one to modify their priorities or perception on issues just to please the other, whether it’s agreed upon or done discreetly.

Something To Think About: Does Love motivate Change?

Desperately Seeking Motivation...

A person's motivation is a combination of desire and force directed at achieving a certain goal or task. Yet, in my case it seems like I’ve lost all motivation in completing a certain task whether it’s helping out or just being there. It’s quite easy to get de-motivated by negative things or actions, yet I have to keep thinking positive and focus on the greater picture. I know I can always blame the weather or other external situations in my life, but I guess it’s up to me to find motivation…

Something To Think About: What are some things that help in getting you motivated?

Quitting is not an option...

Ever feel like why bother? What’s the point? Why don’t I just quit?...Of course you do, everyone does at some time or another. But feeling like quitting isn’t quitting!
